I don't remember my Internet Banking password.
An internet banking password is an alphanumeric consisting of 6 to 30 characters chosen by you. If you don’t remember the password, please use the link “Forgotten your password?” on the logon page to set up a new password.
If you wish to use the new password, please visit one of our branches or contact the HSBC Call Center at 1588-1770 with the reference number. When you make a phone call to validate your new password, your phone banking PIN number and security code (OTP) verification are required.
Can I increase and lower my transfer limit?

You can only lower your transfer limit through internet banking. If you want to increase your transfer limit, please visit one of our HSBC branches with your identification card.
What passwords are there to use internet banking?

To use internet banking, there is the internet banking password, security code (OTP number) and digital certificate password.
① Internet Banking password
The internet banking password is an alphanumeric consisting of 6 to 30
characters chosen by you.
② Security code
The security code is a six digit number generated by a security token
(OTP).
③ Digital Certificate password
The digital certificate password is a case-sensitive
alphanumeric of more than 8 characters chosen by you
when you are issued with a digital certificate.
What is the maximum transfer limit for Internet Banking?

Transfer to local banks
One time transfer limit : KRW 50 million
One day transfer limit : KRW 50 million
Transfer to overseas
Up to USD 1,000 (or equivalent) one time only per day.
- Please visit our branch to increase your present transfer limit within the maximum transfer limit. Transfer limits for local foreign currency transfer are subject to the same transfer limits applicable to overseas account transfers.
I am getting one of the problems listed below while using internet banking. How can I solve it?

- The logon page is frozen after typing my user ID.
- I am redirected to the main page after typing my internet banking
password and security code.
1) Keep your browser up-to-date.
The HSBC website supports MS Internet Explorer 5.5 SP4 or higher.
Currently the HSBC website does not support other web browsers
such as Firefox or Mozilla. Please use MS Internet Explorer and
keep your computer and browser up-to-date.
2) Delete nProtect & XecureWeb software and re-install.
Go to [Start → Settings → Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs] and
remove nProtect KeyCrypt, nProtect Netizen, nProtect nPCom &
XecureWeb Control. Then please visit the HSBC logon page again
and the reinstallation will start automatically.
① Please delete the software highlighted below. 
② On the logon page you will be asked to install nProtec. 
③ On the logon page you will be asked to install XecureWeb, software
related to the digital certificate.

3) Delete toolbars.
Some of the toolbars provided by other websites might cause
incompatibilities with MS Internet Explorer and slow down your
computer. If you have installed a toolbar previously, please remove
that program first and try again.
4) Remove any viruses.
Please scan your computer regularly with anti-virus software
and keep it in healthy condition.
What are the time constraints for internet banking?

You can access our internet banking services 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Please note, however, that fund transfer services may be restricted between 11:30 pm to 12:10 am due to regular interbank network maintenance.
I am trying to make a transfer to overseas, but the transaction has been switched to transfer later or to future date, why is that?

If you are trying to make a transfer after the cut-off time for overseas transactions, the transaction will be processed the next working day.
(Cut-off time: 3 pm for USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, SEK & CHF /
11am for JPY, AUD, SGD, HKD, NZD & CNY)
If the transaction date is a holiday or weekend, when will the transaction be processed?

You can go back by clicking [Internet Banking] tab at the top right hand side of page.
Why can I not use my internet banking facility?

If you do not logon to internet banking for more than 12 months, your transfer limit will be reduced to zero and the logon will be suspended. If you want to use internet banking again, please visit one of our HSBC branches with your personal identification.
Is it possible to change my personal information?

Yes, after logging onto internet banking, you can update your personal information by clicking [Services → Update Personal Information] at the left hand side menu. Your information will be updated on the next working day.
