HSBC provides a comprehensive range of collection services under both Document Against Payment (D/P) and Documents Against Acceptance (D/A) terms. For Documentary Collections, exporter, having shipped the goods, presents the necessary documents together with his instructions to HSBC. HSBC will send these documents to importer’s bank for payment.

- Under D/P terms, import documents are released to importer upon payment.
- Under D/A terms, documents are released to importer against your promise to pay (i.e. Acceptance).
