DC Confirmation

DC Confirmation is a service which a Bank adds its own undertaking to pay, in addition to that of the Issuing Bank, on condition that the documents submitted by the DC beneficiary are fully compliant. The Export Documentary Credit Confirmation gives you, the exporter, double protection as you can rely on the commitment of both the issuing bank and the confirming bank (HSBC) to make payment.

• Confirmed DC’s are commonly used for business dealings with buyers in the developing countries. Exporter will arrange with the buyer to issue a DC to the exporter which carries a confirmation request to HSBC
• Collect confirmed DC by paying DC confirmation fee
• Present clean documents to HSBC
• After thorough checking on the shipment documents, HSBC discount the bill without-recourse basis if the documents are elect to be clean and are in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the DC
