HAMSA

Overview

Established in March 1998, the HAMSA Charity Committee is a volunteer group of HSBC Korea bank staff members. HAMSA engages in the following community activities :

Supporting the children of parentless families

 HSBC Hamsa members visit Seonrowon children house located at Noryangin, Seoul, every third week Saturday of each month and hold birthday party for the children. After the birthday party, they take care of children by feeding milks or washing laundry.






Helping the children with a heart disease get a surgery

HSBC bank is supporting surgical operation expenses for the children with heart disease who cannot afford for the surgeries. Now total 42 children recommended by local welfare services were supported of their surgeries expenses by HSBC Korea and have been recovered since 2000.

Paying a monthly visit to an orphanage house and playing with the children

 HSBC bank extends our love to boy and girl householders. With a certain amount of scholarship, living expenses, and academy fees per month, we have helped the economic independence of boy and girl householders through continuing care and love for 8 years.





Providing a lunch subsidy to underprivileged children

 HSBC Korea supports under previliged children with the charges of school meals. We support the schools of these children to help children have their lunch.
