Dear Customer,

We wish to inform you that HSBC has obtained, on 5 February 2014, the final approval from regulatory authorities for the closure of its branches. With this approval, 10 HSBC branches will be officially closed as from 21 March 2014. We will exert our best efforts throughout the process in order to minimize any inconvenience.

What does this mean for you
   - 10 HSBC branches (Samsung, Seocho, Bangbae, Apkujung, Kwangjang, Bundang, Incheon, Busan, Daegu and Daejeon Branches) will remain open until 20 March 2014. Any remaining accounts will be transferred to Seoul Branch.
   - Seoul Branch will remain open to support existing customers.
   - HSBC ATMs will be removed upon branch closure. However, you may still use one HSBC ATM at Seoul Branch and other non-HSBC ATMs until 31 December 2014. No separate fee will be charged for using ATM.
   - Internet Banking Service will be available until 30 June 2014.
   - Phone Banking Service will be provided until further notice.
   - Call Centre will be available from 09:00 to 17:30 on Mon-Fri.

What do you need to do

We recommend that you close your bank accounts and withdraw funds before the branches are closed. Remaining deposits, loans and investment products that are not terminated will continue to be maintained by the Seoul Branch. If you wish to continue maintaining your account or investments after branch closure, you may also consider applying for Phone Banking Service for your own convenience prior to branch closure. Please visit our branch or contact our Call Centre at your earliest convenience. Our staff will assist you promptly with our best knowledge and efforts.
